$750 for the classroom course
and your monitored first class
Paid to Full Code CPR. AHA materials are separate: you buy the BLS Instructor Essentials online course and the BLS Instructor Manual from the AHA before class. Any Training Center alignment fees are set by the Training Center.
| Step | What you do | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Get aligned | Submit an instructor candidate application to RCP Advanced Life Support, the AHA Training Center you will teach under. | Done before class |
| 2. Finish the online portion | Complete the AHA BLS Instructor Essentials online course. | Bring a current AHA BLS Provider card to class |
| 3. Attend the classroom course | Hands-on instructor course with Kenneth Christman. | How to teach, test and run an AHA class |
| 4. Get monitored | Teach your first BLS Provider class while Kenneth monitors. You organize the class; he observes and signs off. | Within six months of the classroom course |
What do I need before class? A current AHA BLS Provider card, an accepted alignment with RCP Advanced Life Support, and the completed BLS Instructor Essentials online course.
How long do I have to get monitored? The AHA requires your monitored class within six months of the classroom course. The Training Center can ask for additional monitoring.
Can I teach my own coworkers? Yes. That is the most common reason people take this course: once you are an instructor, you can run BLS classes for your own team under your Training Center’s policies.
Is the $750 all-in? It covers the classroom course and your monitoring with Kenneth. AHA materials and any Training Center fees are separate.
Send the form or call (971) 412-7508 and Kenneth Christman will follow up about scheduling.
